Our team here at RG Asphalt and Concrete has a multitude of pavement professionals. With some members having over 30 years of experience, our company roots itself in a style of do-it-yourself work ethic while also opening the door for young individuals in one of the toughest labor industries. Karl Reinke, Co-Owner
As RG Asphalt and Concrete’s co-founder and owner, Karl Reinke has been with our company since the very beginning. With his experience amounting to something just over 30 years, Karl serves as RG’s chief of sales and customer relations. In short, he makes sure our company is fed and maintained by good opportunities to complete and perform work.
As the project and site development manager, he withholds one of the most involved responsibilities of strategic planning, which not only includes the present but also the future. In bearing this duty, Karl dedicates himself to growing the company that is RG Asphalt and Concrete.
Throughout his years, Karl has learned that maintaining positive relationships with both customers and vendors can be one of the most valuable aspects of operating a productive company. With his dedication, enthusiasm, and personal commitment to the people around him, RG will continue to grow and establish meaningful business relationships for the rest of its days.
Ramon Gavina, Co-Owner
As a co-founder and owner of RG Asphalt and Concrete, Ramon Gavina serves as our company’s chief field executive for project and equipment management. By working in the asphalt and concrete industry for over 30 years, Ramon has gained experience that has made him nothing short of RG’s master equipment operator. As the head of his staff, he leads his team in a manner that is quick but still sustainable– intense but still reliable.
Ramon has learned throughout his many years that maintaining multiple crews with multiple skill sets is an absolute must, so long as one can foresee the team and their varying capabilities. Because of his rigorous dedication to completing jobs not only in a manner that is efficient but also exceptional, RG is able to take pride in its work as a company and is deeply honored to say that it makes a truly positive contribution to its customers’ locations. Ramon wakes up every single day and makes sure that he is going to work and motivate his team to their fullest potential. With Ramon at the helm, the sky is the limit.
Steve Bell, Sales and Project Manager
At RG Asphalt and Concrete, Steve is the top salesman and project manager. In addition to his sales skills, he has also developed expertise in designing parking lots and organizing all sizes of asphalt and concrete projects.
Although Steve’s primary position here at RG is to help secure our company as a competitive paving contractor, he still ensures our clients can come to us with practically any kind of building maintenance they need. With just over six years of sales experience with computer software and double that in real estate asset management, Steve has spent the last +7 years tackling the construction industry. Using his prior sales and management knowledge to help create new techniques, he has expanded RG’s sales figures far beyond the company’s expectations. In the past, where he oversaw the complete staffing and operations of large apartment complexes, he gained a specific set of knowledge that today helps our clients envision how they can best meet all their capital improvement objectives.
During his time here at RG, he has acquired over 450 new clients and has also secured our company as a “Pre-qualified Contractor” with the Archdiocese of Chicago. This has allowed RG to be awarded many projects in the Chicagoland area and also has made way for our company to expand its business further into the Rockford church market. His positive, diligent, and forward-thinking attitude has allowed him to exceed RG’s goals year after year, and he is an extremely valuable asset to our organization. Without him, we would be less well-off, and for that, we can do nothing but thank him for his efforts.
Laurie Cohn, Sales, and Project Manager
Laurie joined our team after working in the event planning industry for several years. Since joining, she’s transferred her customer service and organizational skills to the asphalt and concrete industry.
Karl Reinke Jr., Operations Manager
Karl Reinke Jr., operations manager, has dramatically improved RG’s efficiency both in the office and in the field. Following in the footsteps of his father and co-owner Ramon, Karl Jr. has been involved with RG since childhood.
